The process consists of expanding grommets or hoses with several mandrels by means of a pneumatic lever mechanism, so that they can be fitted to the corresponding components without the need for force.
EXTENDOR technology uses specially adapted mandrels to mechanically expand the grommets. Wiring or cables can then be easily routed through the grommet and positioned precisely or variably.
Positioning aids are used for precise positioning, ensuring a high degree of accuracy.
With the implementation of the four-pin semi-automatic pneumatic expansion technique in the EXTENDOR D4-130HD, it is possible to achieve easy and ergonomic mounting of grommets on cables/wires.
The grommets can be placed in any user-defined position on the cable. Another advantage is the operation by a foot-switch, to allow the operator the use of both hands during the process.
The D4-130HD EXTENDER allows the grommet to be expanded up to 88 mm. The expansion takes place in a trapezoidal shape due to the mechanical design.
