The MECALBI STCS-evo500 is an infrared heat shrink system specifically designed for processing normal splices in cable harnesses. With a quartz infrared oven, adjustable process parameters, programmable references and manual or automatic calibration, it provides a controlled and repeatable heat shrink process.
Trustec is an official MECALBI partner and distributor, providing MECALBI solutions for cable harness manufacturers and industrial heat shrink applications.
The STCS-evo500 is designed for workbench applications and processes one part at a time. Its infrared resistor technology provides controlled heat shrink processing, with a particular focus on normal splice applications.
The quartz infrared oven allows higher operating temperatures and is a key component of the system.
The MECALBI STCS-evo500 provides two operating modes:
M2 supports up to 100 programmable references, with each reference supporting between 1 and 40 shrinking times.
References can be programmed manually or using a computer with STCS-RCT software.
Reference selection can be performed manually using the rotary knob or keyboard, or automatically using a barcode reader.
The STCS-evo500 supports both manual and automatic calibration. Its programming mode is password protected, and a dedicated maintenance mode facilitates equipment cleaning and maintenance.
The holding system is designed to preserve cable integrity and ensure that the cable remains in position throughout the heat shrink process.
The machine also features a built-in air treatment unit that provides stable regulation and contributes to longer pneumatic component life.
The MECALBI STCS-evo500 provides communication with ultrasonic welding machines, supporting integration of the heat shrink process into cable harness production workflows.
The MECALBI STCS-evo500 is designed for heat shrink tubing applications in cable harness production, with a particular focus on normal splice finishing.
With auxiliary tools, the system can also be adapted to other applications, including end splices and ring terminals.
The cooled end splice tool can remain installed when processing normal splices, making it easier to use the machine for different applications.
