The process consists of expanding the grommets or hoses with several mandrels by means of a pneumatic lever mechanism, so that they can be fitted into the corresponding components without the need for force.
EXTENDOR technology uses specially adapted mandrels to mechanically expand grommets. Wiring or cables can then be easily routed through the grommet and positioned precisely or variably.
Positioning aids are used for precise positioning, guaranteeing a high degree of accuracy.
With the implementation of the three-prong pneumatic expansion technique on the hand-held unit EXTENDOR BASIC an easy and adequate mounting of grommets on to wires/ harnesses can be achieved
The grommets can be placed anywhere on the wire/harness. Another advantage is the operation via a foot pedal, allowing the operator to use both hands during the process.
The BASIC EXTENDER allows you to expand the grommet by up to 20 mm.
