With 15 kN of crimping force, the UP15 is particularly suitable for small and medium production runs, prototyping and wire harness assembly, providing an efficient alternative to manual crimping tools.
The tool holder can be rotated by 90°, allowing terminals to be fed from the front or side and making the machine suitable for both right- and left-handed operators. The machine can also be operated manually or by foot pedal, providing greater flexibility during operation.
The UP15 has been designed to simplify the crimping process without compromising quality. The multilingual touchscreen provides an intuitive interface for viewing the main parameters and configuring the machine settings.
The system allows operators to define batch quantities and total quantities, while motor power monitoring alerts the operator if conditions are detected that could affect crimping quality.
The linear crimping movement ensures uniform closing of the terminal wings, while the forced sequence control ensures that the machine completes the crimping cycle before opening.
Weighing just 10.5 kg and with a compact footprint, the UP15 can be easily integrated into different workstations.
Machine setup can be completed in less than one minute, allowing operators to switch quickly between different applications. WDT offers a wide selection of standard dies, and the UP15 can use existing dies from WEZAG hand tools, as well as adapters for dies from other manufacturers, subject to compatibility checks.
Custom dies, functions and solutions can also be developed according to specific application requirements.
The WDT UP15 has been developed for a wide range of crimping applications in wire harnesses, automotive, aviation, specialised workshops and small industrial companies.
