The Microlab ML3002 makes it easy to reliably process metallographic sections anywhere without a power connection. The device can run on a fully charged battery for around eight hours. A sample holder of up to 4 mm² is included.
After attaching the sample, the holder is placed on a guide rail and the sample is manually passed through the cutting station. The holder is then removed from the rail and placed under the microscope. The polishing process then begins with the EFP electronic fine polishing unit. With the polishing pen, the electrolytic liquid is applied to the cut surface of the test piece, which is fixed to the sample holder. The ‘cleaning’ process can be observed on the monitor. When the individual crimp wires are clearly visible, the analysis and measurement of the crimp section can begin.
The laptop or PC is not included in the standard delivery and must be ordered separately.
