The CFM MX crimping force monitor is designed for use in the mass production of cables. The test device is mounted on the crimping press and receives signals from a piezoelectric quartz sensor, which is installed on the press. The measurement signals from the force sensor are continuously compared with reference values for a ‘good’ crimp. If a measured value is outside the preset tolerance, the device emits an acoustic alarm and stops the machine. The ‘bad’ crimping can then be removed. The CFM MX quality control system gives you the guarantee that only quality-tested parts will be delivered to your customers.
