The C-Tec ML3300 is a crimp cutting and polishing machine designed for specimen preparation during the metallographic cross-section analysis process.
The ML 3300 is a single module for cutting and grinding crimp specimens during the cross-section analysis process. The crimp can be easily mounted in a dedicated specimen holder. After placing the holder on the slide and switching on the motor, the specimen can be precisely moved to the cutting wheel and subsequently to the grinding disc.
The cutting and grinding speed can be adjusted using a potentiometer, allowing the process to be adapted to different specimen preparation requirements. The position between the crimp and the grinding surface can also be adjusted using a knob on the slide.
For precise and safe operation, the C-Tec ML3300 features a clamping tool with guide sled for cutting and grinding the crimp, together with a plexiglass safety cover. The feed wheel enables precise transportation of the crimp to the cutting wheel and grinding disc, while the spring-loaded grinding plate helps prevent damage during the process.
The equipment also features LED workplace lighting, a standard terminal holder for cross-sections up to 6 mm², with other sizes available on request, and a tool set for specimen processing. The terminal holder, including the crimp, can be removed for further processing.
The C-Tec ML3300 also offers an extensive range of wearing parts and accessories. As an option, it can be equipped with an integrated Visual Cut Camera (VCS) for precise cut positioning, operated via a touch display.
