The process consists of expanding the grommets or hoses with several mandrels by means of a pneumatic lever mechanism, so that they can be fitted into the corresponding components without the need for force.
EXTENDOR technology uses specially adapted mandrels to mechanically expand grommets. Wiring or cables can then be easily routed through the grommet and positioned precisely or variably.
Positioning aids are used for precise positioning, esuring a high degree of accuracy.
With the implementation of the semi-automated three-prong pneumatic expansion technique on the EXTENDOR D3/25 an easy and ergonomic mounting of grommets on to wires/harnesses can be achieved.
The grommets can be placed user-defined at any position of the cable.Another advantage is the operation by a foot-switch, to allow the operator the use of both hands during the process.
The D3/25 EXTENDER allows you to spread the grommet up to 25 mm.
